Soprano Astrid Stockman brings the full experience to the HRtech gala. Astrid first gained widespread recognition through her participation in “De Slimste Mens Ter Wereld” and her musical contributions to “Vive le vélo” and “Ik Vraag Het Aan” on VRT. She embraces challenges and easily crosses musical genre boundaries. Trained as a classical pianist and vocalist at the Lemmens Institute, she increasingly specializes in music theater with an interdisciplinary approach. In this context, she has graced stages and festivals such as BOZAR and La Monnaie/De Munt in Belgium, Grec Festival Barcelona in Spain, Prisma Festival in Panama, Osterfestival in Austria, Rotterdam Opera Days in the Netherlands, ILT Festival in Denmark, Temporada Alta in Spain, and more.
During this gala evening, Astrid will perform a mixed musical repertoire for you solo at her piano. Keynote ‘Why we need a reset for HR and L&D’
The current focus on individual talent has led to workplace isolation and a lack of collaboration, causing disengagement and fragmented work structures. This situation will worsen with AI, creating disparities between those who benefit from AI and those who don’t, leading to uneven productivity.
Organizations are struggling to adapt to digital HR, which is essential for quick responses and workforce understanding. AI’s complexity and potential make the current individual talent model outdated, hindering agility and development. This model prevents the necessary knowledge sharing as the underpinning scaffolding for adapting to changing technologies.
To thrive, organizations must create structures that support organizational learning and collaboration. Employees should feel comfortable seeking help and admitting mistakes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This shift requires redefining work structures and performance metrics, leading to increased productivity, worker satisfaction and connectivity.
Nigel will outline how to implement these changes and their benefits, including enhanced productivity, workplace happiness, learning, sharing, and motivation. Adapting to this technological revolution is essential for modern workplaces. This reset is vital for future success and resilience.

Transforming L&D in the age of AI: Elevate learning, amplify impact
Stella Collins will delve into the future of learning and development (L&D) in the age of AI. When we reset our priorities to incorporate AI into our L&D strategies, it’s essential to understand that AI alone won’t suffice. We must first establish firm foundations in our objectives and motivations, prompting a re-evaluation of our purpose in L&D.
Stella’s mission is clear: to create a world where every minute spent learning is worth it. Learning should enhance personal and organizational performance and productivity. Otherwise, we risk wasting time, money, and energy. Plus people enjoy the experience of learning more when it clearly adds value to their careers and lives.
However, many organizations still face significant challenges. The ongoing lack of skills transfer in the workplace, the knowledge trap, and inadequate or misguided measurement practices are major obstacles.
In this session, you’ll explore the science behind learning transfer and discover innovative ways to improve your learning strategies. Once we have a clear understanding of our ‘Why’ and ‘How,’ then AI can become a powerful catalyst, accelerating our progress and amplifying our impact.
Let’s commit to making every learning experience count, driving both personal growth and organizational success. Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your approach to L&D.
