Erica Tiemes is a Learning & Development Expert and has almost 10 years of experience in designing and developing blended, personalized, social, and adaptive education. As a consultant, she experiences how important these ways of learning are for employees and the learning culture at organizations: “You let an employee experience that their personal goals and learning needs are important by tailoring the learning experiences offered to them. That way you are actively working with the knowledge and skills that you need at that moment in your career, rather than having to revise unnecessary or already-known information. That is how you stimulate and maintain the motivation of employees to continuously develop themselves.”
In this presentation, we will explore the transformative impact of social learning and how it can help create a dynamic and thriving learning organization. Attendees will gain valuable insights into practical strategies for implementing social learning, ultimately driving employee engagement, and making the most of your organization’s training investments.
Mathieu Demulder is instructional designer at Acco Learn for Business. When designing learning journeys, he always starts from the learner and the learning objectives, in order to achieve an optimal learning effect.
Research conducted by Acco among 1,600 Flemish people reveals that 63% prefer to learn on the job, directly from colleagues. Even more interesting, 71% consider this the most efficient learning method. Additionally, we observe a critical need within companies to safeguard knowledge and expertise.
