Growing up surrounded by music and live entertainment, Dorien Leyers has always felt at ease both on stage and behind the scenes. Despite this creative environment, she pursued a strong academic path, studying culture and languages, which led her to the city archives of Valladolid, Spain, where she completed a degree in History in 2004.
The combination of these diverse worlds has shaped her into the professional she is today. Since 2006, she has worked as an event manager, organizing events for brands such as Nespresso, Club Med, Google, Pfizer, and NN Insurance Belgium. Over the past fifteen years, she has remained closely connected to life on stage, regularly hosting and moderating (inter)national events for clients including Volvo, Nike, EY, Orange, BNP Paribas Fortis, the European Commission, and many others—in Dutch, French, English, and Spanish.

As emerging technologies redefine work and life, cultivating a learning mindset is the most urgent and universal necessity of our time. This keynote reframes learning not as a task but as a powerful mindset that empowers individuals and teams to thrive in uncertainty. It begins with a bold vision of the future, challenging audiences to stop waiting and start actively shaping what comes next.
Through inspiring stories and examples, from children’s curiosity to the realities of AI, it reveals the essential human competencies we need to succeed: imagination, openness, resilience, and consilience. The session culminates in a call to action, inviting participants to become Learning Leaders who lead with empathy, embrace growth, and spark positive change in their organisations and beyond.
In today’s world, it’s not about keeping up; it’s about leading forward.
